Woman Committed To Living “OFF THE GRID” Lives in a “HOBBIT HOUSE”

In 1995 a small group of people got an idea to buy a land in Wales and to make it a community. They did that and lived “off the grid” style for many years, but then the government reacted and took into consideration their rightful ownership of the land. Because of that a legal procedure was initiated and lasted for a decade, which in the end resulted with the legal right of the group to live there.

One of the adventurists was Emma Orbach. She is an educated woman from Oxford, who chose to live in a hobbit-style. She got divorced from her husband and she lives by herself in a house. Emma built the house by herself, grows her own food and produces power. Orbach is very proud that she manages to live successfully without the benefit of society. She also has a farm with animals. And she obtains water from a stream. Sometimes she goes to closest shops for a chocolate or other treat.

Ema says that this lifestyle makes her feel really happy, peaceful and it’s her concept of an ideal home.

Well, good for her! However, she says she wanted to live more simply….looks to me like it is hard work to live this way! 🙂
