John Murchie created this small house plan. He works at MurchTech Consulting Corp. They are building unique and innovative tiny homes out of British Columbia. One of their models is the Eagle Micro home which has a total usable are of 350 square feet and a 50 square feet deck on the second floor. The total cost of this model is around $48,000 and it’s constructed out of steel instead of wood making them more affordable. Do not be turned away by plain exteriors, these tiny houses are designed very well have a great floor plan.
The dark wood adds much needed contrast to the white color scheme and give warmth to the small interior. Just off the kitchen is the living area, and every model comes with a built-in bench with a storage compartment below it. The entryway comes with a built-in storage area for coats and there’s additional storage below the staircase. The bathroom comes equipped with a large shower, slim sink cabinet and a full sized toilet. The second floor is the bedroom which has built-in storage in the bed. On the other side of the bedroom you will find a small sitting area that leads to the second floor deck. This all creates quite a complete suite for such a small home. The homes are constructed at the company’s headquarters and are delivered on trucks to the building site.
