Kentucky Couple Brings Antique Log Cabin Back to Life

Posted on March 29, 2019April 17, 2019 by Adorable Living Spaces

Jan Paul Donelson from Kentucky went to look for buying a house when he found this antique log cabin and right away he knew that he didn’t need to look anymore. When he told his wife Tammy, she was also impressed by the house and told him that this place felt like home. Even though the renovation of the place was not easy and took long time, the couple is very satisfied with the result and they can even say they have one of the most beautiful antique log cabins in the state.

Jan Paul first saw the cabin when he was house hunting with a real estate agent on his second day of searching. When he saw the vintage cabin he decided immediately that he wants it and said “This is it. You don’t have to show me anything else.”

He and his wife put on a new roof, installed a new water line, heat pump and HVAC system. They cleaned the house, rip out the wallpaper and painted some walls to brighten up the dark space.

There is a cozy living room on the ground floor with a small kitchen with rustic style. On the second floor there is a master bedroom and bathroom.

The Donelsons are very proud with their cabin and they highlight the history behind it. They appreciate the present of heritage, feel the connection and enjoy its comfort.
