How to Build Your Own Off-Grid Cabin for $2000

Posted on April 1, 2019April 1, 2019 by Adorable Living Spaces

In this day and age, off-the-grind living is become more and more popular, a lot of different people are taking the big step. Some are finding very easy and creative ways of making their homes sustainable and producing their own energy. A very common way to do this is by using solar power, installing solar panels can solve your energy needs and they can be used even for the entire household. A smart way to go about this is to do the change gradually and start small. A perfect example is building a small cabin that is run exclusively by solar power. The cabin below in the video is 14×14 with a living space of 400 square ft. Power in the cabin is provided by installing solar panels on the roof and using wind power while heating is managed by burning wood. Because the cabin is heated it can be used all-year round so it’s a very flexible living space. More details on how this was done are below and a link to a book for anyone who wants to go off-grid or is already living off grid.

The video is of a guy who actually did this and built a solar power cabin, IT CAN BE DONE!
