Back in the history

Believe it or not, it is thought that nine presidents of USA were born in a log cabin. That way the Log cabin became an American Symbol.

In the past, a lot of pioneers lived in a log cabin, because there were a lot of trees. The cabins had horizontal logs, using nails to hold them. It’s known that nine of the presidents were born in a log cabin and it became America’s tradition.

Meaning of Log Cabins

Looking back in the history, in 1840, William Harrison and the Whigs was the first man who used a log cabin and wanted to show that he was people’s man. These steps were followed by other candidates and only because Adlai Stevenson didn’t had anything in common with log cabins, wasn’t elected for president.
