In today’s time, the future of mankind is looking a bit unstable. There’s talk of war on the news all the time, and there’s a chance that nuclear fallout is a big possibility if the U.S.A and North Korea keep provoking each other. That shouldn’t make you worried though, because even if things reach a boiling point and things go nuclear you will be safe and sound 45ft below the ground in your own luxurious bunker in Savannah, Georgia.
The asking price for your own bunker is not cheap. This converted former US army base will set you back $17.5 million. The nuclear bunker is set up in a 32 acres large field and covers more than 14,000ft of living space. Its many features include 3ft-thick walls, an air intake system, a nurse room, fully operational decontamination showers and a CCTV system worth more than $100,000. It can also withstand a 20 kiloton nuclear explosion as well. Originally built during the cold war back in 1969, it was fully renovated in 2012 and now has four fully featured apartments. Each of the apartments has a kitchen, a dining area, two bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom. You just have to be careful who you decide is going to live with you because you might be stuck with them for a very long time…
