Known as the “Creel House” from Netflix series “Stranger things” (in spite of its modification for the show) and made by Col. Hamilton Yancey this perfect house was built in 1882. It has an area of about 1 acre and is nested in Rome, Georgia. It’s near Ford Buildings at Berry College which served as a background for series Pennhurst Mental Hospital.
As in one of the “Stranger Things” seasons, inside the house you will find: an exalted dining and living room with hardwood vestibule and floor with some extra features like built-in bookshelves, buffet, cabinetry etc. Also there is a pretty interesting staircase and fascinating chandeliers. A special thing is the antique wall safe and the urinal which is made from cast iron.
The kitchen itself is fully renovated and has a unique marble island and new appliances. Enough place for storing too. Additional wet bar and guess what – ice maker.
Six bedrooms and six bathrooms (including the roughed in one). Plus an attic with stairs. A special gothic guest house with a living room, two/three bedrooms, a bathroom and of course kitchen. Last, but not least a shelter like a dwelling which can be rented seperately.
Two years ago, the electrical system, plumbing and roof was replaced. Outside there is a lot of free space which can be used for example for a pool. Interesting add-in: a funeral home nearby.
Price for entire property: $1,500,000.
