With every passing year, more and more people are looking for a place of their own, far away from their everyday life, where they can pause time, breathe slow and enjoy some peace quiet as well as privacy. It is a common dream that many share, including two college students, who once upon a time spent a school break on a fishing trip in rural Finland, when they came up with a concept that would change their lives.
To be more specific it was an idea, which morphed into a plan later, which later morphed into an exclusive minimalist cabin of 280-square-foot. With a perfect spot by the lakeside, the two started their work. They filled steel pipes with concrete and anchored them into the bedrock, aiming for a more eco-friendly design. The two used wood on top, put up some windows here and there, and the house they ended up with is now their new sanctuary.
