Cabin lovers gather around because we have something that you probably never heard of or seen before.
Sitting in the middle of nature, peace and the chirping of birds, right beside Lake Minnewawa in Minnesota is a charming medium-size log cabin. But what makes this small home such an attraction and eye-candy is not the interior’s spacious rooms – in fact, it’s the totally unique exterior.
Matt and Mary Enderles, the owners of the cabin aimed for a look that would resemble the traditional log design, but they wanted a touch of uniqueness as well. Matt is an artist who collects rare wood pieces for art projects, but also more than 30 years of experience in the log building industry, so he developed his idea, gathered the materials, and got to work.
What the pair ended up was a totally unexpected yet beautiful twisted-log exterior design. To achieve this look, they used white cedar trees, as they grow in a curved shape. When asked about their life in the cabin, they said that the home is easily maintainable, easy to heat, affordable to build and it supports all of their modern conveniences, such as a furnace, floor-heating, air conditioning and more.
When Mary and Matt aren’t in the cabin, they enjoy spending their leisure time in nature, usually doing activities outside the house. Without further ado, we present below, Matt and Mary’s unique masterpiece.
