Take a look at this European off-grind eco village. Called “Aardehuizen”, or “Earth houses”, it took over three years to build and the people that built it followed the earthship principles. They ued mostly recycled, reused and locally sources materials for construction. 23 houses; 70 people; Most of the people living here are families. The mixture of low-tech building materials and high-tech energy system provide the people living here with an eco-friendly and sustainable environment.
75% of the electricity and 100% of the heat is produced by the village itself.
