Built in the middle of Bean Blossom village, this sweet little cabin makes for a very comfortable and cozy experience. Built in a rustic style, the Bean Blossom log cabin has a lot of charm and character. The cabin is built using the traditional method of square interlocking logs. This is a great way to build log cabins because it’s fairly simple and it doesn’t require a lot of material. One of the charming things about the cabin is the wear and discoloration on the outside which give it a lot of character and charm. It’s just plain amazing to see how time makes these log cabins look better and better. The cabin has an nice little front porch with some log chairs to give you comfort while you are enjoying the view. Right through the door is the main living space of the cabin and it’s pretty spacious and beautiful thanks to all the woodwork and beams on the ceiling. There is a fireplace on the far wall that helps with keep the winter cold off and giving the room a great atmosphere. The love seat and the sofa give comfortable seating space and there is a TV on which guests can watch movies.
The next room in the cabin is the fully equipped kitchen. It has full sized appliances and a pub table. The kitchen has a fridge, stove and a microwave and a lot of countertop space for cooking meals. The high ceiling motif continues in the kitchen and gives it that spacious look. The cabin also has an amazing yard where guests can play all kinds of lawn games. The great carpeted bedroom provides the sleeping space and it too has the high ceilings plus a ceiling fan to circulate air during the warmer period of the year. The bed fits two people comfortably making this cabin a two people home but you can have guests over if you use the pull out sofa in the living room. The bathroom is fully equipped and it comes with a shower, sink and a flush toilet. Another great thing is that this cabin is very close to the Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass park where bluegrass festivals have been happening for more than 50 years. If you like bluegrass music this cabin is perfect for you.
The cabin is a single story building so it’s very good for people with mobility issues. The linens are provided to you so you don’t have to bring your own. If you are into collecting antiques, a shop called Plum Creek Antiques is just a short walk away. Another great place to visit is The Farmhouse Café & Tea Room, which is a short 3 miles distance away and has a very unique menu. You will also find a plant nursery full of shrubs, perennials and annuals. Five miles south you will find Nashville, Indiana which is also a great place for great food and shopping. Isn’t this just an amazing vacation place?
