Thoreau was famous author, philosopher and surveyor from United States. He wrote the book Life in the Woods about the time he spent in the stone house surrounded with nature. Two other books were written while he was living there. He thought that by being close to the nature, he would find more objective view about the society. He loved the simple life in the nature where he was really inspired. His house was actually in the edge of town, close to his home where he lived with his family.
