Hunting Cabin With 23.67 Wooded Acres, Creek, Private Trails

Welcome to Adorable Living Spaces. Located on Curry Road in McArthur, Ohio, this secluded recreational property is listed for $199,900 and offers approximately 23.67 wooded acres in Vinton County. Surrounded by forest and accessible through a gated entrance, the property features a rustic cabin, a creek, and private trails winding through the land. With its peaceful setting and existing recreational improvements, this property could appeal to buyers searching for a private hunting retreat, weekend getaway, or quiet escape in southern Ohio.

The cabin offers a practical rustic interior with a large living area, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft, and bathroom equipped with a composting toilet. A rain barrel supplies water, while a whole-house generator provides an alternative source of electricity when needed. Outside, a covered front porch offers a relaxing place to enjoy the surrounding woods, and a firepit creates an inviting gathering area for evenings outdoors. Although the cabin includes a sleeping loft and bathroom facilities, the listing does not identify any officially recognized bedrooms, and Zillow displays zero bathrooms. Buyers should verify the cabin’s permitted occupancy, utility systems, and the condition of its existing improvements.

Outside, the approximately 23.67-acre property includes a creek, established trails, deer stands, and a deer feeder, making it particularly attractive for hunting and other outdoor activities. A private shale-bottom creek driveway leads through a locked gate toward the cabin, providing separation from the public road. The property also includes a storage shed for tools, hunting equipment, and recreational supplies. The wooded surroundings offer opportunities for wildlife observation, hiking, and enjoying the natural landscape, while the nearby Southern Ohio Hunting Preserve provides another destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

This property could serve as a dedicated hunting camp, seasonal cabin, or private recreational retreat. Its combination of wooded acreage, a creek, and existing hunting improvements provides a useful starting point for buyers interested in spending time outdoors. However, buyers should carefully evaluate the creek crossing and driveway access, especially during heavy rainfall or seasonal flooding. The generator, rainwater collection system, composting toilet, wood-burning stove, and cabin structure should also be inspected, and any required permits or approvals should be verified. The listing specifies that showings are by appointment only and require an agent to be present, as the turnaround area is located behind a locked gate. With its private trails, rustic cabin, and nearly 24 acres of woodland, this Ohio property offers a distinctive recreational opportunity.
