It’s hard to imagine how a family of six – Dad, mom and 4 children can fit and live in a home that’s less than 300 square feet. In the video below, Heather Harger opens the doors of her home to give a glimpse to viewers how the family manages to live comfortably in their small home.
The place has fun and lively atmosphere even though belongings are kept to a minimum and most furniture serves dual-purposes. The have a family room; creative corner; patio area; crafting tables; fully functional kitchen; double sinks and plenty of space to relax and sleep. Not only is this camper their home, but it’s also a school for the children as they are home-school. The oldest son, Sy has eosinophilic esophagitis which means he’s basically allergic to all kinds of food and must have a very specific and strict diet. What’s fascinating is that Heather and her family have no problem catering to Sy’s specific needs and they do this in the comfort of their own RV. It’s like a given because it just adds more minimalism to the family’s already minimalistic life.
If you wondered where the two boys and two girls sleep you’ll have to watch the video below to find out.
On the family’s website, Heather says, “We are a crazy and ordinary radical family of six that left a wonderful, comfortable life in suburbia U.S.A. (by Disney World, nonetheless) to move to South Africa in order to pursue our personal calling to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly to those who are voiceless, powerless, and forgotten. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty and bring dignity, restoration, and transformation back to communities.”
Seems like the family knows perfectly how to live and love. Share this awesome video tour with your friends!
